![]() ![]() I got a bit scared and put it on my shelf for almost a month. When I held These Rebel Waves in my hands for the first time, I was really excited about reading it. Well, thank the fairy book gods, because FairyLoot released a pirate box. I had decided that I would finally order myself a box, but only if the theme appealed to me. I always used to steal my brother’s pirate books instead of reading my own about god knows what. Where girls usually want to be a princess when they grow up, I much rather would’ve been a pirate as a kid. However, I LOVE Pirates of the Caribbean and pirates in general. It seems like people either love or hate pirate book, with nothing in between. To Kill a Kingdom and Daughter of the Pirate King are on my TBR, but the reason I haven’t read them yet, is because of the different opinions on these types of books. I’ve never read a pirate book before (I don’t really consider Peter Pan a pirate book) and I’ve heard mixed reviews about them. ![]() The theme for this box was mutinous pirates. I got this book in the August FairyLoot box. Actually, there’s only one thing I can say after reading this book OH. ![]() ![]() ![]() Set in Castle Rock, Maine, the story centers on a rabid Saint Bernard who torments a mother and her young son, the dog becoming a murderous monster after contracting rabies from a bat bite. ![]() It’s a terrible scene.” King continues, teasing the connection to an iconic story from his past, “ This novella that I’ve just written, Rattlesnakes… is actually a sequel to Cujo.”Ĭujo is of course the 1981 horror novel written by King, which subsequently became a film in 1983. And it involves, at one part, twins who are only four years old… falling into a rattlesnake pit. King tells The Losers’ Club, “I just wrote a long story called Rattlesnakes. What exactly is this “new novella with venomous fangs in a familiar story”? That would be a story Stephen King just wrote titled Rattlesnakes, which he calls a “sequel” to a past classic! He also talks about transgressive horror, scatalogical humor, bar chords, aging friendships, corgis, and why he hasn’t gone soft. King discusses topics including the roots behind this September’s Fairy Tale, the status of his third book with Peter Straub, and a new novella with venomous fangs in a familiar story. Bloody Disgusting’s The Losers’ Club Podcast leveled up this week when they interviewed Stephen King himself for the very first time, an hour-long chat with the master that we encourage all King fans to listen to this Memorial Day Weekend. ![]() ![]() ![]() When Kelli finally gives in to the delicious kiss she's been fighting for so long, she faces a tough decision: make Chase a real-life boyfriend and risk her heart.
